Limburg is regionally known mainly for its eponymous bishopric, which includes the cathedral with the late Romanesque St. George's Cathedralc "Dom". Additionally, Limburg impresses with its well-preserved medieval old town, which has been restored through an elaborate renovation. The Goldener Löwe (golden lion) is part of this unique historic townscape. The historic building was extensively and completely renovated in 2022, while preserving its historic character. In recognition of the successful renovation, the building was awarded the Hessian Monument Preservation Award in 2023. Today, it combines historic charm with modern comfort right in the heart of Limburg’s old town.

The Goldener Löwe (Golden Lion) is located right on Kornmarkt, in the heart of Limburg’s historic Old Town, between the charming squares Plötze and Bischofsplatz. All three squares are home to a variety of cafés and restaurants, offering plenty of opportunities to relax, dine and enjoy the atmosphere of the Old Town. Directly below the apartments is Margaux, a fine-dining restaurant serving French cuisine. Thanks to the central location, the historic Old Town can be explored easily on foot. Behind the building rises the historic Domberg (Cathedral Hill), home to Limburg Cathedral and Limburg Castle. The city’s main sights and landmarks are all within easy walking distance.

Guests have exclusive access to their booked apartment throughout their stay. The apartment is accessed via the shared entrance and staircase. The historic building houses a total of three separate apartments. There are no shared spaces within the apartments.

Simply leave the accommodation and walk straight across Kornmarkt, continue straight across Neumarkt, and then follow Bahnhofstraße. The road leads directly to the station without any turns.
